You Are Plural – Hand It Over
Jen and Epheram shred it up on cello and stripped down Wurlitzer. Hand It Over, the duo’s debut is crisp and refreshing with harmonies a-plenty. The themes are dark, possibly science fictive. When I close my eyes and listen to this music I see a gas-lit marketplace filled with by clockwork beasts. One thing is for certain, like the merchants of old, You Are Plural brings the goods.
You Are Plural – No More
“The duo’s music is primarily built around Ephriam Nagler’s Wurlitzer piano and Jen Grady’s cello, with plenty of vocal melodies contributed by both. The arrangements are minimal but lush at the same time,or at alternating times,as the pacing and arrangement of a song may dictate. The music has an earthy, organic feel akin to folk music, but I hate to really even plant that seed in your brain because I don’t think this is folk music. It’s intriguing, beautiful, and many other things, but not easily categorizable.”
